That was pretty fun but my gamepad didn't work for some reason + I think that the controls were unintuitive on keyboard. Also maybe you should make it so that spamming the jump button makes you ascend.

Love the artstyle and keep up the good work!

Thanks g

This game is pretty fun ! I liked it ! Maybe you could try to better indicate when the player takes damage? Other than that, it's awesome !

Hey, thanks for playing! This is an issue we're having with the Web GL build. Because you're playing on Mac (and obv cant download the Windows version) you could press the little settings icon at the top right corner in the level selection menu and click on "Unlock All Levels" which will, well, unlock every level for you to play from the level selection menu. Hope that helps !

Ohhhh I see. Thanks g, I really appreciate it.  And good luck with your game rating journey btw :D

Thank you so much ! Yeah, Web GL is pretty weird sometimes, we always recommend playing the Windows build to avoid issues. Out of curiosity, how many levels did you play ?

Thanks homie. We're gonna think about new ways for the player to make use of their bombs to reduce this feeling of "one trick pony". If you have any suggestions feel free to leave a comment, it's really appreciated. Thanks again !

Thanks g

Thanks man, we'll develop this game further for sure, so stay tuned for any updates :)

Ohh I see what you mean now. That's pretty funny, because we never intended for the player to catch their own bombs but now that you mention it, I think it would be cool to make this "mechanic" more interesting. Thanks again for your input !

I didn't really understand the gameplay, as I was choosing pretty much random options with each situation, and I didn't understand *how* my choices influenced which category (violence, science or nature). However, the situations and characters were really well written and always entertaining to read, and I have to say, this is one of the most polished games of the Jam I've played.

Good job.

Thanks :)

Thanks for your feedback !
> "I really liked chucking bombs back, and catching my own bombs seemed cool, but I'm not sure the game ever capitalised on that"

If I understand correctly, you're saying that we can totally play the game without catching bombs (a.k.a bruteforcing the levels). If you're talking about that, then we agree with you that in trying to make the game easier for the jam, we accidentally made it so that you can (in some levels) avoid catching bombs. We will probably make the game more difficult and try to make it so that finishing a level without using bombs is something difficult to pull of, but still rewarding, kinda like a challenge, rather than an easy way out. I'd really love to hear more feedback you have about the game, as we're seriously considering developing it further. And again, thanks for playing :)

Thank you for explaining the issue, I'll take a look at the code and try to fix it ASAP. (Probably has to do with Time.timeScale haha)

Thanks for playing! Could you please describe the bugs you encountered so we can fix them in the future ? That would be really appreciated. Thanks again :)

Thanks G, we're glad you like it. The theme was "One time use" so we decided to have Bombs as the main mechanic, as they are, well, one time use. Beside, catching a bomb and throwing it back is a one time use action (unless you catch another bomb haha)

Yeah it's better with a controller, although you could play using the CTRL key to Catch/Throw

Thanks homie

Thank you so much

Thanks for playing ! We actually wanted to make the game easier to avoid people ragequitting (it's still a jam game after all haha) We might explore different ideas to get the difficulty just right :) We're glad you like it.

yeah i have the same problem

Thanks G, we made it ourselves.

:)

Are you guys inspired by the theme? Because my team and I have a few ideas :)

Here's our game ! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/721398

I finished your game and rated it (i posted a screenshot of the win screen on your game page) but I noticed that you rated my game without even downloading it hahaha. Maybe you mistakenly took my game for another ?

I finished the game ! Great job.

Hi ! Could you play and rate our game ? We'll rate yours as well ! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/721398

Hey ! Check our game out at : https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/721398

Hi, we'd really appreciate it if you played our game !

There was no option to change the sensitivity so it was really hard for me to play :( but the game was pretty cool anyway.

Thanks ! I followed you back as well.

Sorry, but I played Dewind and this game is nothing like Time Seek. Dewind is about having your character devolve into a caveman or evovle into a cyborg with a timer based bar. In Time Seek, you can time travel at will, and not only your weapon and abilities change, the world around you changes as well, including the background decoration (the car becomes a medieval cart when you go to the middle age). Furthermore, to reflect the impression of time travel we decided to make all the graphical assets in 3 different resolutions, this concept is very unique and is not found in Dewind. Maybe you didn't play Time Seek enough ? Dewind and Time Seek might seem similar at first glance, but in reality, these games are nothing alike.

Thank you for your feedback ! Would you mind showing us games that use the same concept ?

Thanks for the feedback ! Like I said earlier to someone else we'll change the controls for the controller to use the shoulder buttons instead after the jam.

Sorry mate I couldn't play because of that jump.

(1 edit)

The graphics are good but the animation feels clunky and the fact that we cant change directions manually makes the whole experience more frustrating than it should. You still put a lot of efforts into the game though and I can appreciate it, keep up the good work !

That's so cool ! We're glad you enjoyed the game

I'll look into that after the jam, thanks.
